Pitchwerks This Week: Kit Mueller on Mentorship & Startup Boost
We mentioned earlier this month that our friends Kit Mueller, Jim Gibbs and Mitch Turck were bringing a new program to Pittsburgh called Startup Boost - and Scot had Kit on Pitchwerks to talk about it.
Startup Boost Pittsburgh is a pre-seed accelerator that charges no fees or equity to young tech companies. It’s a slim six-week program where those who have already built companies help people who are building them now. Kit and Scot spend time talking about the program itself, but also the theory of experienced mentoring that it’s based on.
At the end of the program, participants are expected to be prepared for either an accelerator program, straight-up investor relationships, or a direct-to-revenue bootstrapping approach. Applications for Startup Boost Pittsburgh are due by March 15th.
